ZOLLGEWÖLBE (customs vault)

Zollgewölbe (customs vault) in the basement used to serve as a temporary customs warehouse.

Here, Riemerschmid's liqueurs were kept under strict lock and key until they were delivered worldwide. A staircase provides a connection to the filling hall on the ground floor. The customs vault can be used either together with the filling hall or as an independent event venue. Direct access from the courtyard allows the ground floor and the basement to be used independently.
